Dr. Jonny is a veteran endodontist in the NJ/NY area who earned his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) at Howard University College of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class. He completed a general practice residency at BronxCare Hospital, followed by post-doctoral training in Endodontics at New York University. He is a member of the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Soon after graduating, he began investing in single-family homes (SFHs) while still renting a luxury apartment in Manhattan. After gaining experience with several SFHs, he realized that this approach was limited in terms of cash flow and wealth-building potential. This realization led him to commercial real estate, where he found significantly better opportunities for cash flow and scalability. He quickly discovered that apartment buildings offered one of the best risk-adjusted returns across all investment classes—combining low volatility, passive income potential, and tax advantages.

Unlike SFHs, which he self-managed, commercial real estate allowed him to work with professional property management firms, enabling him to shift from active to passive investing. By targeting emerging markets and partnering with top-tier sponsors, he began acquiring well-located, value-add apartment buildings through syndications.

As his investment strategy evolved, Dr. Withanachchi expanded beyond real estate to include other alternative investments such as oil and gas, paving, and self-storage—further diversifying his portfolio and income streams.
